I feel that U.S. school require learning a second language starting in elementary school as learning a second language has been shown to boost cognitive growth, develop social skills, and raise our chances of being hired for a job. Children may get all of these benefits by learning a second language in elementary school, which will help them for college and the real world. There are several cognitive benefits of learning a foreign language such as multitasking. According to Cornell and Penn State research, bilinguals are good in the sphere of attention and concentration as well as prioritizing a certain activity (Adams, 2018).
